Common Issues

Video Conversion Failed
  • Ensure the video is not DRM-protected (e.g. from a streaming service like Netflix).
  • Check that you have sufficient storage space on your device.
  • Try a shorter clip — very long videos may exceed available memory.
"No Capacity to Record"
  • The device ran out of memory during encoding.
  • Force-quit the app and reopen it, then try again.
  • Reduce the output resolution or trim the clip shorter.
TikTok / YouTube Import Not Working
  • Paste the share link directly — make sure the full URL is copied.
  • Some regional restrictions may block downloads from Cobalt.
  • Try the direct download fallback: the app retries with yt-dlp automatically.

Output Requirements

Basketweaver targets 4chan WebM compatibility by default:

  • Max file size: 4 MB
  • Max duration: 300 seconds
  • Codec: VP8 or VP9
  • No audio (4chan audio-only boards require separate settings)
